The Process Of Ear Candling

About a year ago, I could tell that there were some serious issues with my take on shopping. My wife was always trying to drag me to stores, and I just felt really out of place. One day, I realized that thinking about shopping in a new way might help me to enjoy the experience a little more. I started focusing on the positive things about finding beautiful new items, and it was amazing to see how much of a difference it made. This blog is all about learning to enjoy shopping and making it a part of your normal, everyday life.

The Process Of Ear Candling

If you have tried several different methods of removing ear wax at home to no avail, you should try something new. Ear candling is an ancient holistic medicine that has become popular in recent years. Many people believe that ear candles work to loosen up the earwax that may be present in your ear, though there is not much data on how effective it is. You may want to try it and come to your own solutions.

Before you buy an ear candling kit, you may want to know how the process works in order to ensure that you are prepared for the procedure. While each ear candling kit will come with instructions, here is what you can expect from the experience.

Purchasing a Kit

There are many retailers both online and in-person that offer ear candling kits for varying amounts. The price of your kit may depend on how many ear candles you are to receive, as well as the color, material, and scent used to make them. You may want to purchase a small set to begin with, then once you have gained confidence in their use, you can buy more.

Getting Help

Ear candling should never be attempted alone. You will either need the help of a hired professional (such as an aesthetician) or a good friend who you trust. The other person will be lighting the candle, monitoring how quickly it burns, and putting it out before it has the chance to burn you. Get help from someone who is responsible and trustworthy.

Fire Safety

If the ear candle is left in your ear for too long, you could be burned, so you should make a plan of how you are going to remove it safely and extinguish the flame. For example, you may want to keep a bowl of water near where you will be laying so that your responsible assistant can remove the candle before it gets too low and put it out safely. Most candles will burn for 10-15 minutes before they need to be put out, though it depends on the size of the candles you purchase.

The Actual Process

Once you are prepared, you will lie on your side and have your assistant place the candle in your ear. They will then light the other end and allow it to burn while you lie still. After the allotted time, they will remove the candle and extinguish the flame. Some people enjoy looking inside the candle to see the wax removed, though others find this gross. You can repeat the process as often as is needed.

Hopefully, you now have enough information to feel confident in buying an ear candling kit.
