5 Tips For A Better Trip To The Mall

About a year ago, I could tell that there were some serious issues with my take on shopping. My wife was always trying to drag me to stores, and I just felt really out of place. One day, I realized that thinking about shopping in a new way might help me to enjoy the experience a little more. I started focusing on the positive things about finding beautiful new items, and it was amazing to see how much of a difference it made. This blog is all about learning to enjoy shopping and making it a part of your normal, everyday life.

Online shopping has certainly made it convenient to purchase items without even leaving the couch. Yet, there is still something magical and enjoyable about visiting the mall. It's as much about the experience as it is about finding good deals. Here are some tips to make your next trip to the mall even more memorable.

1. Visit on a weekday.

Weekends are certainly the most popular time to visit the mall, but if you can manage to take a day off from work in the middle of the week to go shopping, you'll have an even better time. There will be fewer people, so you can take your time browsing and get more personalized attention from the salespeople. Some stores in the mall even offer better discounts in the middle of the week as they get less traffic.

2. Check your dining options beforehand.

So often during a trip to the mall, you pass a restaurant you like and you eat there only to later see a restaurant you would have liked better. This is becoming a more common problem since malls are added more sit-down restaurants rather than just relying on food courts. Look up what restaurants the mall has to offer before your visit so you can select the one you most enjoy without any regret.

3. Park near the stores you want to visit.

Do a little research to find out where in the mall the stores are that you most want to visit. This way, you can park near these high-priority stores instead of having to walk a half-mile across several parking lots or stroll the whole mall before you come across a store you want to go in.

4. Wear comfortable shoes.

After you hit your can't-miss stores, you can have fun exploring stores you're less familiar with. But you will only enjoy this experience if you're wearing shoes that you can easily walk in. Visiting the mall is not a good time to wear your heels, regardless of how nice they might look with the rest of your outfit.

5. Bring some friends.

Visiting the mall is always more fun with good company. You can bounce fashion ideas off one another, help each other hunt for the best deals, and chat while you peruse the sales. If you have someone in your life who you would like to get to know better, a good old-fashioned trip to the mall is a fun way to do so.

Keep these tips in mind for the next time you visit a shopping center.
